\"\"Srinagar: The Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), the leading religious\u2019 alliance in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has raised grave concern over reports regarding the distribution of rotten, unhygienic, and allegedly non-halal meat across the Kashmir Valley.<\/p>\n

According to the Kashmir Media Service, the MMU stated that such alarming practices pose serious threats to public health and violate the fundamental religious responsibility of ensuring halal consumption in the Muslim-majority region. The organization, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, emphasized the need to maintain strict adherence to Islamic dietary laws.<\/p>\n

The MMU reiterated that its Halal Certification Committee is already functioning to certify meat and related products in line with Islamic principles. It urged restaurant owners, vendors, and food suppliers to only procure meat from certified and trustworthy sources to prevent such violations.<\/p>\n

The organization also demanded that the concerned authorities launch a transparent investigation into the matter, take stern action against those involved, and establish regular inspections of slaughterhouses, storage units, and supply chains to guarantee both hygienic and halal standards. It appealed to the public to remain vigilant and choose only certified sources for meat products until full consumer trust is reestablished.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of several prominent individuals. He extended heartfelt condolences to senior journalist Ashfaq Gauhar on the passing of his maternal uncle, Pir Hafeezullah Qadri, and prayed for the deceased\u2019s forgiveness and eternal peace.<\/p>\n

The Mirwaiz also offered sympathies to the family of Mohammad Syed Shah, cousin of renowned scholar and MMU founding member Mufti Zia-ul-Haq Nazmi, and expressed condolences over the deaths of Ahmadullah Gujawari of Lal Bazar and Habibullah Khan of Rajouri Kadal, both described as devoted followers of Jama Masjid\u2019s pulpit.<\/p>\n
