According to Kashmir Media Service, a rally was held in Lahore in which Hurriyat leaders Shamim Shawl, Engineer Mushtaq and Gulshan Ahmed also participated.<\/p>\n\n
Addressing the rally, the speakers strongly condemned India\u2019s illegal and unilateral actions. They demanded that the Kashmir dispute be resolved in accordance with the Unied Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiris. They urged the international community to intervene immediately and stop Indian atrocities in the occupied territory and resolve the Kashmir dispute through dialogue.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a signature campaign was organized on Quaid-e-Azam Highway on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir under the auspices of Kashmir Center Lahore Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell and special documentaries based on Indian atrocities were shown.<\/p>\n
Besides leaders of various political and social organizations, workers, traders, students and common citizens, a large number of men and women from different walks of life participated in the signature campaign. The participants condemned the actions of India on August 5, 2019.<\/p>\n
Former government minister Nasir Hussain Dar, District Council member Raja Muhammad Shafiq, Sikh community leader and King Edward Medical University professor Dr Mampal Singh, eminent religious scholar Allama Mushtaq Qadri, renowned scouts leader Maqsood Chughtai, former Mr Pakistan Mahmood Khan Kashmiri, Lahore Readers Club\u2019s Faisal Rabbani, Sheikh Amjad Hussain and Farooq Minhas Advocate participated in the signature campaign.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the abrogation of the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir was strongly condemned and it was demanded that India not only immediately withdraw its August 5 measures but also ensure the holding of a plebiscite to give the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir the right to self-determination in accordance with the UN resolutions.<\/p>\n
A rally was also organized in Karachi in which General Secretary of the Azad Kashmir branch of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Pervez Ahmed Shah also participated.<\/p>\n
Addressing the rally, the speakers urged the international community to put pressure on India to withdraw the illegal and unilateral steps of August 5, 2019. They said the only solution to the Kashmir dispute lies in the implementation of UN resolutions. They said India has failed to break the resolve of the Kashmiris despite immense atrocities. The speakers said the Kashmiri people are determined to continue their struggle until they achieve their right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
Similarly, a rally was organized from the DSI office to the provincial assembly in Quetta, in which Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Hurriyat leader Zahid Safi, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain (Retd) Mehrullah Badini and others participated. Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, while addressing the rally, said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan stand with their Kashmiri brothers.<\/p>\n
Hurriyat leader Zahid Safi on the occasion said August 5 will be remembered as a black day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir because on this day in 2019, the Indian government illegally revoked the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and took violence, lockdown and other oppressive measures to suppress the Kashmiris.<\/p>\n
He said that unilaterally changing the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir is a violation of international laws and agreements.<\/p>\n
He thanked the people of Pakistan and Balochistan on behalf of the people of Kashmir and said that today, like the whole of Pakistan, the people of Balochistan are also there in solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers.<\/p>\n
Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain (Retd) Mehrullah Badini said that we stand by the Kashmiri people and the day is not far when the Kashmiri people will see the dawn of freedom.<\/p>\n
A rally was also taken out in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement and Muhajireen Ittehad Forum, which was led by Qazi Imran, Zaheer Jarral, Khawaja Ayaz, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Mirpur District Maulana Atiq and President of Refugee Action Committee Shabbir Chichi.<\/p>\n
The rally was also addressed by Ijaz Mir, Abdul Majid Khan, Shaukat Kalas, Professor Azkar Mirza, Hafiz Talib, Qasim Shah, Sardar Khushed, Mubashir Ahmed, Hafiz Al-Hamid, Raja Tikka Khan, Dr Amjad and Muhammad Farooq.<\/p>\n
The speakers said that August 5, 2019 was the darkest day in the history of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They said that the Indian government issued fake domiciles to millions of non-state persons with the aim of eliminating the Muslim majority from the territory and turning it into a Hindu state.<\/p>\n
They said the people of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir want freedom from India and as long as the last Indian soldier is present in the occupied territory, they will continue their struggle.<\/p>\n
