According to Kashmir Media Service, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressing the Pakistani community during his visit to the US said that the Quaid-e-Azam had said that Kashmir is the \u2018jugular vein\u2019 of Pakistan and it fully supports the United Nations Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
He said Pakistan has given a befitting reply to India\u2019s provocations but it is still adamant on creating instability in the region. However, Pakistan has made it clear that any aggression by it will be given a befitting reply, he added.<\/p>\n
He said India wants to present itself as a ‘Vishva Guru’, but in practice it is nothing like that. He said the involvement of India’s intelligence agency, ‘RAW’, in transnational terrorist activities is a cause of serious concern at the global level, examples of which are the murder of a Sikh leader in Canada, the case of 8 Indian naval officers in Qatar and incidents like Kulbhushan Jadhav.
\nHe said that Pakistan has fought a successful diplomatic war against India’s discriminatory and duplicitous policies. The recent Indian aggression carried out under shameful pretexts has seriously violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and martyred innocent civilians, he deplored.<\/p>\n
The Field Marshal said Indian aggression and stubbornness have brought the region to the brink of a dangerously flaming war. He said Pakistan has given a resolute and forceful response to Indian provocations.<\/p>\n
He said Pakistan has made it clear that it will not tolerate any Indian aggression. He said Pakistan is extremely grateful to President Donald Trump, whose strategic leadership stopped the Pak-India war. He said, \u201cOur recent success in the diplomatic and security field against India is the result of the mercy of Allah Almighty, the collective efforts of the nation, the foresight and perseverance of the political leadership and the professionalism of our brave forces.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Army Chief added that his second visit after a gap of just one and a half months marks a new dimension in Pak-US relations. The aim of these visits is to take the relations on a constructive, sustainable and positive path, while huge investments are expected thanks to the possible trade agreement with the US, he remarked.<\/p>\n
