In a major blow to India, the United States has designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its suicide wing, the Majeed Brigade, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs), adding the latter to the BLA\u2019s Specially Designated Global Terrorist list from 2019.<\/p>\n

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the BLA has continued deadly attacks through the Majeed Brigade, including suicide bombings and assaults on Pakistani security forces and civilians. The group admitted to 2024 suicide strikes near Karachi airport and Gwadar Port, and in 2025 claimed the Jaffar Express hijacking that killed 31 and took over 300 hostage.<\/p>\n
