{"id":181360,"date":"2025-08-15T11:09:06","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T06:09:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/?p=181360"},"modified":"2025-08-15T11:09:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T06:09:06","slug":"congress-demands-2024-indian-general-elections-be-nullified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/2025\/08\/15\/congress-demands-2024-indian-general-elections-be-nullified.html","title":{"rendered":"Congress demands 2024 Indian general elections be nullified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-181361\" src=\"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/assests\/2025\/08\/20_Pawan_Khera_14_08_Delhi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"975\" \/>New Delhi,: The Congress has demanded that the 2024 general elections be nullified, saying they were \u201cfought and won fraudulently\u201d by the Bharatiya Janata Party with fake votes.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kashmir Media Service, party spokesperson and chairperson of the Media and Publicity Department, Pawan Khera, addressing a news conference in New Delhi said, \u201cPrime Minister Narendra Modi does not deserve to be where he is, as he won with a \u2018booster dose\u2019 of fake votes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He cited BJP leader Anurag Thakur\u2019s remarks earlier this week, asserting that he had \u201cvalidated, with evidence, what Rahul Gandhi had said a week ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday\u2019s press conference proved that the last general election was held on fake votes,\u201d Khera said, asking, \u201cShouldn\u2019t that election be cancelled?\u201d He added: \u201cNullify the Lok Sabha elections, which were fought on the basis of fake votes as proved by Thakur.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Khera pointed out that Thakur, in his press conference, had claimed there were bogus votes in six constituencies, including Amethi, Raebareli, Wayanad and Diamond Harbour \u2014 \u201cthus deliberately or inadvertently admitting that fake voters did exist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He demanded that the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Thakur also make public the electronic voter list data of Varanasi. \u201cWe know the prime minister does not deserve to be where he is as, based on fake votes, he barely managed to win the Varanasi seat in 2024,\u201d Khera added.<\/p>\n<p>He also questioned the ECI\u2019s selective action, and collusion between the BJP and the ECI: \u201cWhile Gandhi was still addressing the press conference, the ECI issued a notice asking him to file an affidavit about his revelations.
