Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep shock and grief over the gruesome killing of a minor girl in Ganderbal district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in a failed abduction attempt, terming the incident a matter of grave concern.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz said such a reprehensible act had not only extinguished an innocent life and devastated a family, but also shaken society at large and exposed the insecurity faced by women and children. He urged immediate action against the culprits and harsh punishment to serve as a deterrent and restore confidence among people. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for their strength in this hour of unbearable loss.<\/p>\n
Mirwaiz underlined that it was the collective responsibility of institutions and society to safeguard the dignity of women and children and to ensure that such tragedies are prevented.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz paid rich tributes to the great Kashmiri saint, Sultan-ul-Aarifeen Sheikh Hamzah Makhdoom Kashmiri (RA), describing him as a reformer and spiritual leader who dedicated his life to purifying souls and spreading Islamic teachings, humanity, nobility and compassion in the Valley.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Anjuman Sharie Shian President, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, also condemned the heinous killing of the Ganderbal minor and demanded exemplary punishment for those responsible.
