Srinagar: Scores of dental surgeons from different parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir staged a protest in Srinagar against the continued denial of government jobs, exposing the apathy of the authorities towards both the educated youth and the suffering patients in the territory.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protesting surgeons assembled at the Press Enclave, Srinagar, where they raised slogans against the administration for deliberately shelving recruitment drives for years. They said that despite repeated assurances, not a single vacancy has been filled, pushing thousands of qualified professionals into uncertainty and despair.<\/p>\n

The protesters pointed out that many of them have completed postgraduate studies but remain unemployed, while patients are being deprived of adequate dental care in hospitals and health centres due to an acute shortage of specialists. One of the protesters said it was shameful that educated youth were left to languish, while patients in government hospitals were forced to suffer delays and neglect.<\/p>\n

The participants stressed that the non-recruitment of dental surgeons was part of a larger policy of discrimination and denial, which has crippled the healthcare sector in the territory. \u201cThis is not just about our careers, it is about the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are being denied basic medical facilities,\u201d one protester remarked.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
