New Delhi:The Indian BJP government has revealed that 2,06,378 Indians renounced their citizenship in 2024, continuing a trend seen over the past several years.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh shared this information in the Lok Sabha,stating that although some people are concerned about the trend, the reasons for renouncing citizenship are personal and can differ from person to person.<\/p>\n
Citizenship Renunciation on the Rise<\/p>\n
A comparison over the past decade shows a clear rise in the number of people giving up Indian citizenship during the BJP rule in India.<\/p>\n
In 2011, the figure was 1,22,819, and by 2014, it was 1,29,328.<\/p>\n
