Muzaffarabad: Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter Ghulam Muhammad Safi has strongly condemned the serious human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances of innocent Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Safi addressing a Friday prayer gathering at the Jamia Masjid in Leepa area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir said India is committing the Kashmiris’ genocide under a planned conspiracy.<\/p>\n
He said the Hindutva Indian government of the Bharatiya Janata Party has usurped all the fundamental rights of Kashmiris and is trying to convert the Muslim majority area into a minority.<\/p>\n
He expressed deep concern over the plight of Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory, saying they are being subjected to large-scale political retaliation for their demand for the right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
Ghulam Muhammad Safi called upon the United Nations, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and international human rights organizations to play their role in the release of illegally detained Kashmiris and the settlement of the Kashmir dispute and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the struggle until the mission of the martyrs is completed.<\/p>\n
He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and said these people are heroes not only of Pakistan but of the entire Islamic Ummah who sacrificed their lives to defend their beloved homeland.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ghulam Muhammad Safi along with his delegation met Azad Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Dewan Ali Chughtai at his residence in Lipa and invited him to participate in the rally organized by the APHC-AJK chapter on \u201cPakistan Defense Day\u201d in Leepa tomorrow.<\/p>\n
The Education Minister enthusiastically welcomed the delegation and said that he would definitely participate in the rally along with his colleagues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
