New Delhi: India and Israel, two states widely condemned for their blatant violations of human rights in occupied territories, have signed a Bilateral Investment Agreement (BIA) in New Delhi to strengthen their economic and political cooperation.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the agreement was inked between Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her Israeli counterpart Bezalel Smotrich, replacing a 1996 treaty scrapped by India in 2017. The new pact promises protection of reciprocal investments, safeguards against expropriation, and access to international arbitration for dispute resolution.<\/p>\n

Analysts point out that the deal reflects a growing partnership between New Delhi and Tel Aviv at a time when both regimes are facing global outrage for trampling the basic rights of Palestinians and Kashmiris. Despite international criticism of their settler-colonial policies, the two governments are now presenting themselves as strategic allies.<\/p>\n

Rights advocates stress that India\u2019s brutalities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Israel\u2019s ongoing atrocities in occupied Palestine have reduced both regimes to outcasts in the eyes of oppressed peoples.
