Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has said that India has not utilized the established mechanism of information exchange through the Indus Water Commissioners, as required under the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT).<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, during his weekly briefing in Islamabad, Shafqat Ali Khan urged India to fully comply with all treaty provisions. While India has shared some flood-related data through diplomatic channels, he noted, the information was far less detailed as in the past.<\/p>\n

Responding to a question on national security, he affirmed that Pakistan has full capability to defend itself against any external threat. He reiterated that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state and a firm supporter of regional peace and stability, but any threat to its sovereignty or territorial integrity will be met with a decisive response.<\/p>\n

Regarding Israeli aggression on Qatar, he said that repeated attacks on sovereign countries in the region by Tel Aviv are a serious concern for the Muslim Ummah and the international community.
