London: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that while Pakistan and India are neighbors and must coexist, meaningful dialogue cannot take place unless the Kashmir issue is resolved.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at an event organized by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation in London, he recalled that the two countries have already fought four wars, costing billions of dollars\u2014funds that should have been invested in the progress and prosperity of their people.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that Pakistan seeks talks with India on equal footing, but ties between the two nations cannot move forward without addressing the Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n
Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would not be allowed to go in vain.<\/p>\n
During the ceremony, he praised the dedication and sacrifices of overseas Pakistanis, paid tribute to them, and recited a few verses.<\/p>\n
On his visit to the UK, the Prime Minister spent four days in London, meeting with members of the Pakistani community and business leaders.<\/p>\n
According to Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, his address in London will be broadcast later today.<\/p>\n
He added that the event was well-attended, and in an impassioned speech the Prime Minister discussed Operation Buny\u0101n Mars\u016bs, the economy, and foreign relations.<\/p>\n
