\"\"United Nations: The annual session of the United Nations General Assembly is beginning in New York today, in which more than 150 heads of state and foreign ministers from around the world will participate.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Pakistan\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Asim Iftikhar Ahmed has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will address the 193-member assembly on September 26, in which he will present Pakistan\u2019s principled position on various global issues, especially Palestine and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s participation reflects Pakistan\u2019s strong commitment to multilateralism and the United Nations, especially at a time when Pakistan is working for global peace and development as a member of the Security Council.<\/p>\n

He said the Prime Minister in his address will also highlight the issues of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the right to self-determination in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as both these issues have long been an important part of Pakistan\u2019s foreign policy.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Prime Minister will also shed light on issues such as the effects of climate change, growing Islamophobia, and the threat of terrorism. He said the Prime Minister will present Pakistan\u2019s perspective, emphasizing the need to work with the international community to address the effects of climate change, which has severely affected the country in the form of floods and other natural disasters.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that issues such as the ongoing wars in Gaza and Ukraine, recognition of the Palestinian state, as well as nuclear tensions with Iran, were discussed at this year’s session of the United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Prime Minister will also hold several important bilateral meetings on this occasion, including discussions with various world leaders and senior UN officials.<\/p>\n
