These include a residential building constructed on 780 sq. ft. of land and an orchard measuring 8 Marlas, both located in Maldera village of Shopian. Mir was arrested in April 2025 on fabricated charges.<\/p>\n<p>To legitimize this action, the NIA stated that, acting on orders from the NIA Special Court in Jammu, it attached the immovable properties under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).<\/p>\n<p>Since the revocation of IIOJK\u2019s special status in August 2019, the Indian government has systematically confiscated hundreds of properties, including homes, lands, and businesses, owned by Kashmiris under various pretexts.
