Islamabad: As the world observes the International Day of Non-Violence today, Indian forces continue to commit war crimes in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmi.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the observance of International Day of Non-Violence holds no meaning for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who continue to suffer under the violent Indian military and political occupation marked by state terrorism and gross human rights violations.<\/p>\n
A report released by KMS today reveals that the people of IIOJK have been enduring decades of atrocities, injustice and harassment under draconian laws enforced by brutal Indian forces. Troops, paramilitary personnel, police, as well as agencies like the NIA and SIA, are involved in the killing, illegal detention and harassment of defenceless Kashmiris.<\/p>\n
The report noted that 7 Kashmiris were martyred by Indian forces in the Kashmir Valley and four civilians were killed by Indian forces indiscriminate firing in Leh district of Ladakh during the month of September alone. Since January 1989, the death toll in the occupied territory has reached 96,474.<\/p>\n
The report stressed that Indian actions in the territory amount to genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes under international law. It stated that the most fitting way to observe the International Day of Non-Violence would be to hold India accountable for the persecution of Kashmiris by its occupying forces.<\/p>\n
The report urged the international community to take immediate action to stop India\u2019s Hindutva regime from committing gross violations of human rights and international laws in IIOJK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
