Shops and vehicles were reportedly set ablaze in the Gourishankar Park area after police halted the procession, while CCTV cameras installed along the route were vandalized.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities also suspended internet services across Cuttack Municipal Corporation limits, Cuttack Development Authority, and adjoining 42 Mauza region from 7 p.m. Sunday to 7 p.m. Monday to curb the spread of rumors and misinformation.<\/p>\n<p>Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJD leader Naveen Patnaik have appealed to the public to maintain communal harmony and cooperate with the administration in restoring peace.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for a 12-hour strike in Cuttack today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuttack: The Odisha government has imposed restrictions and suspended internet services in Cuttack following fresh communal violence that left at least 25 people injured.
