According to Kashmir Media Service, the blaze spread rapidly through the densely populated locality, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and forcing panic-stricken residents to flee their homes. Eyewitnesses said flames engulfed multiple structures within minutes before fire and emergency services arrived.<\/p>\n
\u201cThree residential houses were completely gutted in the incident. The cause of the fire is being ascertained,\u201d an official said.<\/p>\n
Locals voiced concern over the poor accessibility of fire tenders in Srinagar\u2019s congested old city areas, stressing the need for alternative response routes and improved infrastructure to handle such emergencies more effectively.<\/p>\n
Though no casualties were reported, the affected families have suffered heavy property losses and are reportedly seeking assistance from local authorities.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in another incident, a man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Nowshera area of Rajouri district. The deceased, an employee of the MES Store in Narian, was discovered inside the store premises.
