According to Kashmir Media Service, during the demonstration, protesters raised abusive slogans and used derogatory language against Iqra Hasan.<\/p>\n

Expressing strong displeasure, she said, \u201c I won\u2019t be silenced as I was called a terrorist and abused during the protest. This is not just an insult to me, but an insult to all the women of our society.\u201d She added that she would not be intimidated. \u201cI will not do politics under pressure. Those who try to divide society will not be spared,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Speaking with villagers during her visit, Iqra said everyone has the right to protest but the language used during the demonstration was unacceptable. \u201cWhen I won the election, people of every religion and caste voted for me. The abuses being hurled at me are not just against me\u2014they are an insult to every woman in this region,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Iqra said, \u201cI have never done politics based on religion or caste. I have always tried to take everyone along. If someone doesn\u2019t like my work, they can vote me out after five years. But am I not your daughter?\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
