Kampala: Pakistan has reiterated its unwavering support for the right to self-determination of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine during the 19th Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) held in Kampala, Uganda.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing the plenary session, Pakistan\u2019s Special Secretary for the United Nations, Nabeel Munir, urged the global community to renew attention to unresolved conflicts and growing international tensions, stressing that the lingering disputes of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine remain a test of global conscience.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed NAM\u2019s \u201cvital role in promoting peace and equitable development\u201d and called for justice for peoples under foreign occupation. Munir also condemned the surge of Islamophobia and war rhetoric in South Asia, warning that such trends threaten regional and global stability.<\/p>\n

During the NAM Ministerial Committee on Palestine, the Pakistani representative welcomed the Sharm el-Sheikh ceasefire agreement in Gaza, lauding mediation efforts by Qatar, Egypt, T\u00fcrkiye, and the United States. He expressed hope that the truce would pave the way for a complete Israeli withdrawal, sustained humanitarian relief, and reconstruction in the besieged enclave.<\/p>\n

Reiterating Pakistan\u2019s principled position, he emphasized support for an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and reaffirmed solidarity with the people of IIOJK in their just struggle against Indian occupation.<\/p>\n
