According to Kashmir Media Service, the US president has repeatedly claimed credit for ending the conflict between Pakistan and India earlier this year in May.<\/p>\n
Participating in a Diwali celebration at the White House on Tuesday, Trump said he had a \u201cgreat conversation\u201d with Indian PM Modi over the phone.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe talked about trade \u2014 we talked about a lot of things, but mostly the world of trade, he\u2019s very interested in that. Although we did talk a little while ago about let\u2019s have no wars with Pakistan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the fact that trade was involved, I was able to talk about that \u2014 and we have no war with Pakistan and India and that was a very, very good thing,\u201d he said. Trump also called Modi a \u201cgreat person\u201d, saying that he had become a great friend of his over the years.<\/p>\n
The US president also stated that Modi was keen to see the end of the Russia-Ukraine war.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just have a very good relationship,\u201d he said while talking about Modi. \u201cAnd he\u2019s not gonna buy much oil from Russia; he wants to see that war end as much as I do \u2014 he wants to see the war end between Russia and Ukraine \u2026 so they\u2019ve cut it way back and they\u2019re continuing to cut it way back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump also lauded the US\u2019 success in \u201cforging peace all over the world\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re putting America first; we\u2019re getting everybody to sort of get along,\u201d he said, highlighting the US role in securing \u201ctotal peace\u201d in the Middle East.<\/p>\n
