\"\"Trivandrum: A security lapse occurred when an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter carrying President Droupadi Murmu to Sabarimala temple got its wheels stuck in wet concrete at a hastily constructed temporary helipad inside the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium near Pathanamthitta, Kerala.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident unfolded today shortly after Indian President Murmu alighted from the helicopter.<\/p>\n

As per reports, the helicopter landed at the temporary helipad constructed inside the indoor stadium complex, where the concrete surface had not completely dried. The wheels reportedly sank into the wet concrete soon after President Murmu alighted from the aircraft.<\/p>\n

Kerala\u2019s Director General of Police (DGP), Ravada A. Chandrasekhar, downplayed the incident, claiming there was no security lapse. He said that the helicopter had landed five feet off the designated spot, where the surface remained wet. He further said that the helicopter was then pushed to a safe area for takeoff.<\/p>\n

However, a video of around 30 Indian police personnel pushing the helicopter out of the wet concrete quickly went viral, raising concerns over possible security protocol breaches.<\/p>\n

Despite the mishap, Indian President Murmu proceeded with her visit to the hill shrine as scheduled. Authorities are now reviewing the incident, and action may be taken against those responsible for the poorly prepared helipad. KMS-16S<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
