He urged Kashmiri people worldwide to raise their voices, organize protests and expose India’s atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The AJK President reiterated that lasting peace in South Asia depends on the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He called on the United Nations to fulfill its resolutions and ensure the Kashmiri people’s inalienable right to self-determination.

Barrister Sultan further said that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and globally are observing Black Day to protest India’s illegal and forcible occupation of their homeland. He reminded that India, in 1947, took the Kashmir dispute to the United Nations, promising a plebiscite. However, instead of honoring its commitment, India has continued to suppress the freedom movement. The situation worsened after India’s illegal revocation of Kashmir’s special status in August 2019, intensifying the repression, he noted.

He highlighted that thousands of Kashmiris, particularly youth, continue to languish in jails, women face harassment and humiliation, and even children and elderly are subjected to brutal Indian atrocities. Despite this, Barrister Sultan emphasized that the Kashmiri people remain unwavering in their determination to continue their struggle until Indian occupation ends.

He urged the international community and human rights organizations to play their role in helping the Kashmiri people achieve their right to self-determination.

Islamabad: The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has said that October 27 is the darkest day in Kashmir’s history, marking the day in 1947 when India, in violation of the Partition Plan, sent its military forces into Kashmir, illegally occupying the territory and stripping the Kashmiri people of their fundamental …

[16

post-186524","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ajk
["GET
