Ankara: The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara organized a solemn event to commemorate Kashmir Black Day, marking October 27, 1947 \u2014 the day Indian troops forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir in violation of the Partition Plan and against the will of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the event was attended by a large number of dignitaries, officials, members of the media, and members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n
Former Agriculture Minister Mehmet Mehdi Eker, addressing the gathering, said that the days of oppression and injustice in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir would inevitably come to an end, and the Kashmiri people would realize their inalienable right to self-determination. He emphasized that no amount of force could suppress a just cause, adding that the perseverance of the Kashmiri people stands as a testament to their unyielding resolve for justice and freedom.<\/p>\n
Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to T\u00fcrkiye, Yousaf Junaid, said that Kashmir Black Day marks one of the darkest chapters in South Asia\u2019s history. He highlighted the grave and systematic human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces in the territory.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Junaid expressed deep gratitude to the government and people of T\u00fcrkiye, particularly President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan, for their consistent and principled stance on the Kashmir dispute and for raising the issue at the United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n
He reiterated that durable peace and stability in South Asia cannot be achieved without resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
