New Delhi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has called for a ban on the RSS, stating that the organization, along with the BJP, is responsible for many of the law and order issues currently plaguing the country.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to media persons in Delhi, Kharge strongly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for permitting government employees to maintain ties with the RSS, describing this as an affront to the legacy of Sardar Patel. Kharge cited Patel\u2019s 1948 criticism of the RSS following the assassination of Gandhi as evidence of the organization’s problematic nature.<\/p>\n
Kharge said, \u201cWhat Sardar Patel warned about should not be ignored by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.\u201d He added, “Sardar Patel himself imposed a ban on the RSS. Allowing government employees to associate with this organization today is nothing short of an insult to Patel.”<\/p>\n
