The deal, they note, was finalized without any formal endorsement or public acknowledgment from US President Donald Trump\u2014an unmistakable sign of its limited importance.<\/p>\n

Observers point out that Washington continues to withhold critical technologies and intelligence-sharing privileges due to India\u2019s ongoing defence ties with Russia and its history of opportunistic diplomacy. The United States remains wary that sensitive American technology could be diverted to Moscow through New Delhi\u2019s back channels.<\/p>\n

Experts also recall that the previous defence frameworks of 2005 and 2015 failed to deliver meaningful outcomes, producing only conventional arms sales that benefited American defence firms. Promises of joint production, advanced technology transfer, and interoperability remained unfulfilled slogans, exposing India\u2019s bureaucratic inefficiency and strategic inconsistency.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s credibility, the report adds, has been further eroded by reckless military posturing, including cross-border strikes against Pakistan in 2019 and 2025, which portrayed New Delhi as a destabilizing force rather than a responsible regional actor. President Trump\u2019s silence on the latest deal, despite his known appetite for publicity, is seen as a telling rejection of India\u2019s exaggerated claims.<\/p>\n
