New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of complicity in securing a victory for the BJP in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, citing discrepancies in the state\u2019s electoral rolls. He said that 25 lakh voter entries in Haryana were \u201cfake\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a press conference in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi, who also serves as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, said, \u2018Operation Sarkar Chori\u2019 was launched to convert the landslide Congress victory into loss in Haryana. He went further by accusing the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and the other election commissioners of colluding with the BJP, alleging they worked in partnership with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rig the elections. Gandhi said he is questioning the Election Commission and the democratic process in the country and therefore, is doing so with 100 per cent proof.<\/p>\n
Citing electoral data from Haryana, Gandhi pointed to 25,41,144 instances of \u201cfake voters,\u201d including duplicate entries, invalid addresses, and bulk voter registrations. He questioned the Election Commission\u2019s reluctance to address these discrepancies, arguing that their inaction is proof of a deliberate effort to suppress fair elections. \u201cIf they were to remove these duplicates, the elections would be fair,\u201d Gandhi remarked, \u201cBut the Election Commission doesn\u2019t want fairness; they want the BJP to win.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAll polls pointed to a Congress victory in Haryana. The five top exit polls said Congress is sweeping. The other thing that was surprising was that for the first time in Haryana, the postal votes were different from the result. In postal ballots, Congress got 73 seats while the BJP got 17 seats,\u201d he said. Gandhi also said that thousands of people associated with the BJP voted both in UP and Haryana.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Gandhi presented evidence of widespread voter irregularities, including a photograph of a woman who appeared 22 times on the voter rolls at 10 different booths within the Rai Assembly constituency. He claimed that the photo, which had been duplicated multiple times across different polling stations, was actually from Brazil, suggesting that the fake entries were part of a “centralized operation.”<\/p>\n
\u201cI was in shock when we uncovered this. I had my team double-check the findings to be sure. I want young people, Gen Z to understand this clearly as your future is being stolen,\u201d Gandhi said. He highlighted that the youth have the power to restore democracy through truth and non-violence.<\/p>\n
Despite predictions by multiple exit polls indicating a Congress victory, the final tally saw the BJP clinch 48 seats in the 90-member Haryana Assembly, while Congress secured 37 seats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
