According to Kashmir Media Service, a Hindu teacher, identified as Chandra Kumar, in a video viral on social media, can be heard making the children chant slogans like \u201cKhun se tilak, goliyon se aarti karo\u201d and \u201cJai Hind, Jai Bharat\u201d during the morning assembly at the beginning of the new academic session at Government Middle School, Sachal.<\/p>\n
In the background, Chandra Kumar is seen singing the controversial song \u201cVande Mataram\u201d in the school lawn, as young boys and girls line up for the morning assembly.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the Chief Education Officer of Doda district had recently issued an order making it mandatory for students to sing the Hindutva song \u201cVande Mataram\u201d during morning assemblies.<\/p>\n
There was a strong protest across occupied Jammu and Kashmir against this order and the Muttahida Majlis Ulema, a joint platform of various political, social and religious organizations, had called it a direct attack on the religious faith of Muslims and demanded its immediate withdrawal.<\/p>\n
This incident of a government teacher in Doda, giving extremist education to children, is the result of the government-sponsored promotion of Hindutva ideology. There is intense anger among the locals against this incident and they have filed a complaint in this regard with the Chief Education Officer.<\/p>\n
Chandra Kumar was suspended to quell the anger of the people. Locals say the said teacher is giving militant and violent education to children. They said such behavior is not only unacceptable but also a serious violation of the constitutional and moral principles that guide our education system.<\/p>\n
These teachings promote violence and hatred instead of peace and knowledge, which are a serious threat to the mental and emotional health of innocent students.<\/p>\n
The authorities formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident, which will conduct a thorough probe into the matter and submit a factual report with recommendations within two days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
