Islamabad: Chairman of the Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR), Altaf Hussain Wani, has expressed his gratitude to United Nations human rights experts for their meticulously documented communication highlighting systemic violations of human rights, state repression, and unlawful demolition of civilian properties in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, Wani in a statement issued in Islamabad specifically appreciated UN Special Rapporteur Prof. Ben Saul and other mandate holders for their principled scrutiny, which exposes the harsh reality faced by Kashmiris under oppressive Indian policies.<\/p>\n
Wani said the joint communication demonstrates that no state can justify human rights abuses under the pretext of security, emphasizing that the dignity, rights, and freedoms of every individual are inviolable. He noted that the experts\u2019 observations reveal how brutal and discriminatory tactics fail to eliminate extremism, instead deepening grievances and eroding the trust essential for lasting security. The KIIR chief described the intervention as a beacon of accountability and justice at a time when truth is suppressed and the voices of the oppressed are silenced.<\/p>\n
