Srinagar: The family of illegally detained Dr Muzammil Ganaie has strongly refuted the allegations leveled against him, describing them as baseless.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to the media in Pulwama, Azad Shakil, Dr Ganaie\u2019s brother, said, \u201cIt is being alleged that he is a big terrorist. We have no knowledge of it. For the past five decades, there has been no case against anyone in our family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding Dr Ganaie, Shakil described him as a \u201cgood person\u201d and said, \u201cThere are allegations about his involvement in terror activities, but we have not been allowed to meet him so far.\u201d<\/p>\n

The family also stated that Dr Ganaie had returned home to attend his sister\u2019s wedding, originally scheduled for Sunday but now cancelled following his arrest. Shakil added that his brother had earlier visited Kashmir when their father underwent a surgical procedure.<\/p>\n

The family called for a fair investigation and urged authorities to allow them access to Dr Ganaie, asserting that the allegations against him are unfounded.<\/p>\n
