Srinagar: Authorities across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have imposed stringent restrictions a day after a blast near Delhi\u2019s Red Fort, launching an extensive drive including additional checkpoints and intensified frisking across the territory.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, from Srinagar to districts along Line of Control such as Rajouri and Kupwara, extra checkpoints have been set up, vehicle frisking intensified, and identity verification strengthened at major junctions, bus terminals, and entry points.<\/p>\n
A senior police officer said the measures are precautionary but necessary to ensure public safety. \u201cAdditional checkpoints, frisking of vehicles, and use of advanced scanners, handheld metal detectors, and explosive-trace detection devices have been deployed across J&K to maintain law and order,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In Srinagar city, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have been deployed at major intersections including Lal Chowk, Dalgate, Bemina, and Nowgam. Vehicles are being stopped randomly, and occupants are asked to produce identity documents.<\/p>\n
Similar measures have been reported from Pulwama, Shopian, and Islamabad, where at least four persons have been detained in connection with the Faridabad terror module, believed to be linked to the Red Fort blast.<\/p>\n
In north Kashmir, authorities have set up additional checkpoints at Sopore, Baramulla, Handwara, and Kupwara, while frisking and patrolling along the Line of Control (LoC) have been intensified in the garb of preventing so-called infiltration.<\/p>\n
At Srinagar International Airport, restrictions have been tightened with enhanced passenger screening, manual luggage checks, and X-ray scanning. Jammu and Banihal railway stations have also seen intensified frisking and use of explosive detection equipment and canine units.<\/p>\n
Commuters reported multiple layers of checks before boarding trains. Authorities have issued advisories urging the public to cooperate with frisking, report unattended vehicles, and remain vigilant amid ongoing restrictions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
