Srinagar: In a continued effort to silence Kashmiri voices, the New Delhi-imposed administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has seized a two-storey residential property belonging to prominent jailed Kashmiri lawyer Mian Abdul Qayoom in Srinagar.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mian Abdul Qayoom, a former President of the High Court Bar Association, is currently imprisoned in Jammu Jail under a politically motivated and fabricated case.<\/p>\n

Acting on direct orders from LG Manoj Sinha, police raided Mian Qayoom’s residence in the Bulbul Bagh area of Barzulla, Srinagar, and confiscated his property, which includes a plot measuring 2 kanals and 1 marla. The action was carried out under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).<\/p>\n

The occupation authorities claim the seizure is linked to a case registered in 2009 at the Shaheed Gunj police station.<\/p>\n
