Ankara: The Republic of Turkiye has strongly rejected reports published in certain Indian media outlets linking it to terrorism, calling them part of a malicious disinformation campaign aimed at undermining Ankara\u2019s relations with New Delhi.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the statement was issued by the Republic of Turkiye Directorate of Communications\u2019 Center for Countering Disinformation through its official account on X. It said that the allegations published by some Indian media houses falsely claimed that Turkiye was providing \u201clogistical, diplomatic, and financial support\u201d to terrorist groups in India.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese deliberate reports are part of a malicious disinformation campaign designed to damage bilateral relations between the two countries,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
The Directorate reaffirmed that Turkiye \u201cfirmly rejects all acts of terrorism, regardless of where or by whom they are committed,\u201d emphasizing that the country has been at the forefront of global counter-terrorism efforts in cooperation with the international community.<\/p>\n
Highlighting its contributions to international security, it said Turkiye \u201cactively contributes to the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and plays an effective role in shaping NATO\u2019s counter-terrorism policies.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rejecting Indian media allegations of \u201cradicalisation activities\u201d linked to Turkiye, the statement asserted that such claims are \u201cpurely disinformative and lack any factual basis.\u201d It said these unfounded reports were \u201caimed at undermining Turkiye\u2019s contributions to international peace, security, and stability.\u201d<\/p>\n
