Visakhapatnam: Indian forces have killed nine tribe members, including two women, in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh states.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, three persons, including two women\u2014one identified as Madvi Deva\u2014were killed during a cordon-and-search operation at Tummalapadu in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, near the Andhra Pradesh border.<\/p>\n

In a separate operation, six tribal members were killed in the early hours of Tuesday in Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. The district\u2019s SP, Amit Bardar, described them as Maoists and claimed that their bodies were recovered after an exchange of fire that lasted nearly half an hour.<\/p>\n

The tribal communities, who have long demanded an end to Brahmanical dominance, political injustice, and the creation of a separate state, are labeled \u201cNaxalites\u201d or \u201cMaoists\u201d by the Indian authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
