Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has said that the long-standing Kashmir dispute is a recognized international issue and cannot, under any circumstances, be considered an internal matter of India.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking during his visit to the office of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in Islamabad, today, Haq emphasized the critical need for unity, coordination, and a unified narrative among Kashmiri leadership in the current challenging circumstances. He underscored that the Kashmir freedom movement is a collective heritage of the entire nation and must be advanced with perseverance, sacrifices, and adherence to core principles.<\/p>\n
The meeting also addressed various pressing issues, including the ongoing challenges faced by the Kashmir freedom movement, the escalation of Indian state terrorism, India’s attempts to alter occupied Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s region\u2019s demographic makeup, widespread human rights violations, and the role of the international community in resolving the Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n
Chaudhry Anwarul Haq also extended his heartfelt condolences on the passing of APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmad’s son, and offered prayers for the deceased’s soul and for strength and patience for the grieving family.<\/p>\n
APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Mohammad Sufi praised Haq’s longstanding contributions to the Kashmir cause, acknowledging his efforts to highlight the issue on the international stage as both commendable and historically significant.<\/p>\n
