{"id":188584,"date":"2025-11-22T13:08:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T08:08:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/?p=188584"},"modified":"2025-11-22T13:08:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T08:08:47","slug":"pakistan-condemns-worsening-hr-situation-in-iiojk-arbitrary-arrests-of-kashmiris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/2025\/11\/22\/pakistan-condemns-worsening-hr-situation-in-iiojk-arbitrary-arrests-of-kashmiris.html","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan condemns worsening HR situation in IIOJK, arbitrary arrests of Kashmiris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-188585\" src=\"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/assests\/2025\/11\/fo-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Islamabad: Pakistan has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the arbitrary arrests of Kashmiri people following the recent blast in New Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said in a statement said, \u201cPakistan remains gravely concerned about the persistent and serious human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe prevailing policies, marked by widespread detentions, arbitrary arrests, and extensive restrictions on fundamental freedoms, continue to amount to collective punishment of the occupied Kashmiri population.\u201d Andrabi added that reports of Kashmiri youth being profiled based on their identity and faith \u201cfurther heighten these concerns\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson said, \u201c\u201cIndia continues its efforts to alter the demographic character of the occupied territory and to erode the religious, cultural, and social heritage of the Kashmiri people\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese measures appear to form part of a deliberate strategy to suppress the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri population.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andrabi said that thousands of Kashmiri youths remain missing, while political representatives remain in custody. He said that these actions cannot undermine the Kashmiri people\u2019s \u201cenduring commitment to realising their internationally recognised right to self-determination\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Andrabi urged the international community, including the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to take full congnizance of the grave human rights situation in IIOJK.
