\"\"Srinagar: With the onset of winter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the arrival of migratory birds from different countries is continuing at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, over 1 million birds have arrived in water bodies of occupied Kashmir valley, so far.<\/p>\n

Officials said the Wildlife Conservation Department has deployed several teams of staff at Dal Lake, Wular Lake and other important wetlands to monitor these guest birds.<\/p>\n

They said, so far, the highest number of birds has been recorded in Wular and Dal Lake. Wular Lake is under strict CCTV surveillance to monitor the movement of birds and prevent possible threats.<\/p>\n

They said specific places have been designated for public observation of birds. These birds come to Kashmir from Europe, Central Asia, and parts of East Asia to spend the winter months. These birds include black-headed gull, tufted duck, duck and northern pintail etc.<\/p>\n

Officials said the bird migration season began in late October and will continue till March.<\/p>\n

More than one million migratory birds have arrived in the Kashmir Valley so far, while their number is increasing day by day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
