Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a residential property belonging to a woman in Pulwama has been forfeited by an NIA court in Jammu.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the court barred any transfer or third-party interest under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).<\/p>\n

The Hakripora house in Kakpora tehsil, measuring 9.5 marlas, belonged to Naseema Bano, wife of Peer Tariq Ahmed Shah. The court, following the directives of the Modi regime, passed the order for forfeiture on the pretext that \u201cthe property has been used for anti-India activities\u201d.<\/p>\n

Presiding Judge Sandeep Gandotra allowed an application by NIA\u2019s Chief Investigating Officer, Rajiv Om Parkash Pande, claiming household members allegedly sheltered mujahideen. Naseema Bano did not appear in court, and ex-parte proceedings were conducted.<\/p>\n

The property was attached in March 2021, with the Designated Authority confirming the attachment in May 2021. Bano\u2019s appeal was dismissed in August 2022.
