Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has reaffirmed that Kashmir remains the core issue for achieving lasting peace between Pakistan and India, emphasizing that the final status of Jammu and Kashmir must be determined by Kashmiris through a United Nations-supervised plebiscite.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said that for over seven decades, India has systematically obstructed every peaceful path to resolve the dispute, violating the internationally recognized right of Kashmiris to self-determination.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeventy-eight years on, India continues to trample UN-mandated resolutions, pushing South Asia into extreme militarization and nuclear brinkmanship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Minhas called on the UN Security Council to enforce its own resolutions on Kashmir without delay and urged the international community to compel India to resolve the dispute in line with UN directives. He stressed that accountability must be pursued and the Modi-led regime held responsible for war crimes and human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
