Officials said the raids targeted residential premises and other locations linked to Jamaat members and associates. Electronic devices, documents and literature were seized from the houses of individuals linked to the Jamaat and associated institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The forces\u2019 personnel conducted raids at Jamia Sirajul Uloom in the Hilo area of Imam Sahib, Shopian district, and Jamia Islamia Institute in Waripora, Handwara, Kupwara district, under draconian laws. Authorities have linked the institutions with the Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>During the operations, forces seized electronic devices and books, which the Indian authorities claim are part of an ongoing \u201cinvestigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A police spokesperson said the searches targeted residential premises and other locations associated with JI members and their supporters, describing the raids as part of efforts to suppress the freedom struggle and its support structures in the territory.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate cordon-and-search operation, Indian forces raided the homes of JI members across various areas of Islamabad and Badgam districts. Officials said that these operations were conducted to interrogate and intimidate residents linked to the pro-freedom activities.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate development, Indian police arrested a 19-year-old boy from Bathindi, Jammu. According to a police statement, the teen, originally from Reasi, was taken into custody in a case registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
