<\/figure>\n\n\n\nNew Delhi: The growing hatred, prejudice, and extremist acts against Muslims in India have once again been exposed.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a recent report by Press TV has said that Muslims are being systematically targeted across the country under the Hindutva agenda while government and institutional attitudes have made the situation more worrisome.
According to the report, three Muslim students in Maharashtra were harassed so much for offering prayers in a classroom that they were forced to bow before an idol and chant Hindutva slogans. Similarly, near the Taj Mahal in Agra, Hindu extremists stopped a 64-year-old Muslim taxi driver and forced him to chant “Jai Shri Ram”.
The report said that right-wing Hindu groups openly make hate speeches against Muslims and threaten violence, but Indian authorities and the media remain silent spectators.
According to the report, a two-story market owned by a Muslim citizen in Bareilly was declared illegal and demolished, while demolition of properties of those who raise their voices in favour of Muslims has become a norm in India.
The report said Muslim citizens are arrested without any judicial action for protesting or exercising any legal right, while right-wing groups are continuously spreading hatred against Muslims on social media.
Press TV says that the current government policies have led to a record increase in Islamophobia and communal tension in the country.
