Srinagar: Indian army and paramilitary establishments are attempting to camouflage their ongoing military occupation, state terrorism, and the use of draconian laws against Kashmiris by pushing fresh propaganda narratives about \u201cmilitancy\u201d and so-called infiltration across the Line of Control.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the latest attempt came on Monday when Inspector General of the Border Security Force (Kashmir ), Ashok Yadav, claimed that 69 \u201cactive launchpads\u201d exist across the LoC with around 100\u2013120 individuals \u201cwaiting to infiltrate.\u201d Analysts say such recurring figures are routinely used by New Delhi to justify its massive troop presence, cordon-and-search operations, property seizures, and rights abuses in the occupied territory.<\/p>\n
Addressing a press briefing in Srinagar, Yadav said the BSF, in close coordination with the Indian Army, was \u201cdominating\u201d the 343-kilometre LoC in the Kashmir Valley.<\/p>\n
These assertions, observers note, follow a familiar pattern of Indian forces escalating cross-border shelling while attempting to shift global attention away from grave human rights violations inside occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
He said BSF units participated in 22 joint operations in the hinterland alongside other Indian agencies.<\/p>\n
Kashmiri rights groups maintain that such briefings, couched in militaristic language, are routinely used by India to reinforce its occupation narrative, justify intensified crackdowns, and obscure the lived reality of Kashmiris facing raids, detentions, property seizures and systemic political repression under draconian laws like the PSA and UAPA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
