Kotli: A massive rally was held in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, on the occasion of International Human Rights Day under the banner of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of residents from Kotli participated, sending a strong message to the international community that India cannot keep the Kashmiris subjugated through military force indefinitely. The rally was led by APHC-AJK Convener, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, alongside Hurriyat leaders Parvaiz Ahmad Shah, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Raja Khadim Hussain, Syed Ijaz Rehmani, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Zahid Safi, and Zahid Ashraf.\"\"<\/p>\n

Speakers denounced the ongoing oppression and brutality of Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including grave human rights such as extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, custodial torture, demolition of homes, and the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and political activists.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that the people of IIOJK cannot be subdued through coercion and military might. He added that India\u2019s stubbornness has led to repeated military failures, growing global isolation, and international criticism over its human rights record. He reaffirmed that the sacrifices and unwavering resistance of Kashmiris indicate that the goal of freedom is within reach, and that no amount of oppression can crush the Kashmir freedom movement.\"\"<\/p>\n

Other speakers, marking International Human Rights Day, reminded the world that fundamental rights, including the right to life, freedom of expression, and fair trial, continue to be systematically violated in occupied Kashmir. They urged the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organizations to take concrete measures to help the Kashmiri people realize their inherent right to self-determination. They further stressed that Kashmir remains a volatile international dispute that can no longer be ignored. The speakers called on the world community to take notice of Indian atrocities and to honor the long-standing pledge of holding a plebiscite in Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Participants raised anti-India slogans and expressed full solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir. They vowed that the Kashmiris\u2019 freedom struggle cannot be subdued by force and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the movement until complete liberation from Indian rule is achieved.\"\"<\/p>\n

Prominent political, social, and religious leaders from Kotli, along with distinguished individuals from various walks of life, attended the rally.
