Palandri, Azad Kashmir: A delegation led by Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Chairman of the World Forum for Peace & Justice, visited Palandri to engage with local legal and academic communities on the Kashmir issue.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the visit was facilitated by Justice Sardar Abdul Hamid Khan, former Judge of the Azad Jammu & Kashmir High Court, who personally travelled from Palandri to Islamabad to ensure the program\u2019s arrangements.<\/p>\n
The delegation, which included Dr. Waleed Rasool, academic and Kashmiri scholar; Sardar Zulfiqar Roshan Khan, founding member of Kashmir American Welfare Association (KAWA); and Sardar Zubair Khan, Director of Voices of Justice in Kashmir, addressed multiple forums, including Cadet College Palandri, the Palandri Bar Council, and Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) Palandri Campus.<\/p>\n
During the engagements, the speakers highlighted human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the imprisonment of Khurram Parvez, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, and Syeda Aasiya Andrabi. They warned against India\u2019s Domicile Law and demographic engineering aimed at reducing the Muslim majority in IIOJK.<\/p>\n
Brigadier (Retd.) Wajid Qayyum Paracha and Principal of Cadet College Palandri briefed the delegation on the institution\u2019s facilities and its quota for students from Indian occupied Kashmir. Advocate Zareef Aslam, President, and Advocate Arsalan Nisar, Secretary General of Palandri Bar Council, hosted discussions on the legal dimensions of Kashmir and the constructive role of lawyers in advocacy.<\/p>\n
Professor Munawar Hashmi, Nimra Maqsood, and Nouman Siddiqui facilitated sessions at MUST Palandri Campus, engaging students and faculty. Justice Sardar Abdul Hamid Khan hosted the delegation at his residence, reflecting a strong commitment to keeping the voice of the Kashmiri people alive.<\/p>\n
