According to Kashmir Media Service, India\u2019s aviation regulator has told the media that the pilots of the Delhi-Mumbai-bound Air India Boeing 777 plane had to shut down one of the engines of the plane shortly after takeoff due to loss of oil pressure in the engine and it was immediately brought back to Delhi airport.<\/p>\n
According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the incident will be investigated.<\/p>\n
An Air India spokesperson in a statement has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to this unexpected situation.<\/p>\n
According to Flight Radar 24, the plane is 15 years old and has flown to various destinations, including Vienna, Vancouver and Chicago.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that Indian Airlines, including Air India, have been under intense scrutiny since the Boeing Dreamliner crash on June 12 this year, which killed 260 people.<\/p>\n
