The region would be established under the internationally recognized right to self-determination, and the organization has suggested that it be named after U.S. President Donald Trump.

In a video statement, SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun appealed to President Donald Trump to take notice of growing threats to India’s Christian community. He warned of the cultural, physical, and political dangers faced by religious minorities in India, stating that only strong international pressure could protect them in India.

Pannun emphasized, “President Donald Trump is the only world leader who has the courage, authority, and resources to intervene in this situation.”

He said that while the world was celebrating Christmas, the Christian community in India was facing organized violence, attacks, and oppression. He highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi’s government, not only Christians but also Sikhs in Punjab were at grave risk.

He said the proposed “Trump Land” would encompass the northeastern Indian states of Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, and Assam, which he described as a contiguous Christian-majority region that could serve as a refuge for persecuted Christians.

Pannun further said that in Modi’s India, preaching the Bible is a crime, churches are being set on fire, Christian settlements are being attacked, while people are being displaced and frightened.

Attacks on Christians in India have risen sharply in recent years, including violent assaults on worshippers, vandalism of churches, disruptions of Christmas services.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun also referred to the statement of the RSS chief in which Mohan Bhagwat had declared India a Hindu state.

It is important to note that Sikhs for Justice, based in the United States, is also conducting a global referendum for the creation of a separate Sikh homeland, Khalistan, in India.
