Patna: A Muslim man was tied to an electric pole and publicly beaten by members of a Hindutva mob in BJP-ruled Bihar.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, Ahmed Azad, a resident of Siwan district, was stopped while traveling on a motorcycle in the Mathiya area under the jurisdiction of Nagar police station in Gopalgang district.<\/p>\n
Witnesses said a group of men linked to Hindutva outfits stopped Azad, conducted an unlawful search, and then tied him to an electric pole before beating him publicly in the cold weather. The assault reportedly continued for a prolonged period before police arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n
The incident, which was recorded on mobile phones and widely shared on social media, has spread fear among Muslims and raised serious concerns over mob justice in the state.<\/p>\n
A shopkeeper from the area, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, \u201cIt was terrifying. He was crying and asking for help, but no one dared to intervene.\u201d<\/p>\n
Muslims in the area said such incidents have created a constant atmosphere of fear. A community elder remarked, \u201cToday it is Ahmed Azad. Tomorrow it could be anyone. People are acting as judge and police on the streets.\u201d<\/p>\n
