Suppressing peaceful dissent only deepens public distrust,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The AIP Chief Spokesperson urged the administration to act responsibly and allow the proposed peaceful protest scheduled for Monday at Baramulla. \u201cDemocracy cannot function through house arrests and prohibitory measures.
