According to Kashmir Media Service, the All India Jewellers and Gold Federation in Bihar has announced a ban on women, wearing hijab, burqa, niqab and masks, from entering jewellery shops.<\/p>\n

Through this move, the federation has tried to make people who cover their faces suspicious by using security concerns as an excuse.<\/p>\n

Ashok Kumar Verma, president of the federation\u2019s Bihar branch, said if their faces are not visible, men or women will not be allowed to enter the shops.<\/p>\n

Political observers said such decisions are a continuation of the BJP and RSS agenda of marginalizing Muslims economically, socially and religiously.<\/p>\n

Mosques, madrasas and religious symbols are already being targeted by the Bharatiya Janata Party government in India, and now religious clothing has been banned in daily life as well.<\/p>\n

It should be remembered that this is not the first incident.
