Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti has expressed concern over the closure of Mata Vaishno Devi Medical College in Reasi district, describing it as a pre-planned move with potentially far-reaching consequences. She warned that such actions set a dangerous precedent that could have significant implications.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, talking to reporters in Srinagar, Mehbooba Mufti raised serious questions about the sequence of events surrounding the de-recognition of the medical college. She said that such decisions only create fear and uncertainty among the people.<\/p>\n

She further cautioned that the move could encourage extremist elements across India. Mehbooba said tomorrow, some Hindu right-wing organisation might protest in any part of India and demand the removal of Muslim students from Kashmir. \u201cThis will become a pattern. Jammu and Kashmir is being used as an experiment, and whatever is tried here is later repeated in other parts of India,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Drawing parallels with the intensification of Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids in occupied Jammu and Kashmir before they were expanded across India, Mehbooba Mufti remarked that IIOJK was increasingly being used as a testing ground for policies that were later applied across India.<\/p>\n

She also expressed concern over the deliberate efforts to divide people on religious lines in Jammu.<\/p>\n
