Srinagar: At least eight Indian troops, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were injured in an attack in Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the injuries were sustained during a cordon-and-search operation in the general area of Sonnar in the Chatroo area of the Chenab Valley. Most of the troops were injured in a grenade blast.<\/p>\n

Indian forces officials said that reinforcements, including personnel from the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Special Operations Group (SOG), have been deployed to strengthen the cordon.<\/p>\n

The operation, named \u201cOperation Trashi-I\u201d by the Indian Army\u2019s White Knight Corps deployed in Jammu, began on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Advanced surveillance equipment, including drones and sniffer dogs, has been deployed to speed up the operation, the officials added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, an Indian Army\u2013backed Village Defence Group (VDG) member opened fire in the Nowshera area on the pretext of noticing some suspicious movement.<\/p>\n
